Information


The Department of Wild life conservation has set down visitors guidelines on general park ethics as follows :

*National parks are the home of animals and you must remember that you are a visitor.

*There are guidelines at each and every park entrance, a guide must accompany the tour all times.

*Keep strictly to the tracts within the park during the trip and always remain in your vehicles.

*Maintain fair distance between vehicles.

*Animals have the right of way and you must stop the vehicles when animals are crossing the roads.

*You should note sound your horn or raise your voice.

*Avoid feeding animals.

*Do not use radios and cassettes in the forest; forest has its own sounds-listen to them.

*Do not use flashes for photography.

*Avoid smoking within the park.

*Try to wear earthy color that blend with park surroundings, such as brown or green, instead of color that disturb the eye.

*Do not dispose of litter or any sort of garbage.

*Respect animals and keep a safe distance.

*Do not collect or destroy wild flowers and plants.

*Do not take pets.

*Do not take firearms in to parks.

Physical Fitness RequiredEvery day while going through the forest department and wild life department approved trails. People with hypertension and cardiac issues should not book them self for hikes. Trekking in in smooth, medium and hard grads.

Sri Lankan Government Regulations
No plant or a part of a plant been removed from any sites are prohibited. When comes to animals, live or dead or parts of an animal been removed from any sites are prohibited. Hence all tour members will abbey the rules of regulations of Sri Lankan government.

Tour Include
- Package tours include full board and half board basis

Tour Does Not Include
All entrance fees. Extras at hotels. Beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). Tips. Expenses of personal nature.

Other Information
Tents will be provided (2 persons per tent) with sleeping bags Sleeping bags, bottle of water.
Hot meals will be provided at camp sites. Nature is the best toilet while camping. Personal effects such as warm/windy/rainy conditions should be carried by client .

Insect repellent, sun burn lotions etc. are recommended. Leach socks / tits preventing jackets are recommended.

Your own shoes preferred ankle shoes are recommended. Perfumes while at National Parks (wild animals) are not recommended.
